Ok so let me introduce our amazing guest designer…

I am so pleased to welcome the wonderful and super-talented Peggy Toole as our YNS Guest Designer for the month of March! Welcome aboard Peggy!

Hi everyone! My name is Peggy Toole and I live near Salmon Arm in British Columbia with my very supportive and wonderful husband and 3 boys. I am a SAHM and love to stamp, sometimes I think it has taken over! lol I have been stamping now for almost 6 years and just love this hobby and all the great people I have met because of it. I was just thrilled when Karen asked me to be a guest at YNS and the opportunity to work with such a great bunch of women, I can’t wait to get started!

Peggy is a regular participant of our YNS Challenges, and has made many gorgeous YNS creations which you can see HERE at her blog. For today’s stunning card, Peggy has used the adorable Bubbly Fun Fhiona stamp. Don’t you just love those pearl bubbles, that fab sentiment, and check out the bathroom scene she has created complete with furry bath mat!

Thank you for joining us Peggy! We are so looking forward to seeing more of your amazing YNS creations!

Happy stamping!

Be Happy – Etsy Inspired

Hi everybody! It’s Maureen here and I wanted to share a card I made for the Etsy Inspired Challenge, sponsored by YNS! I had so much fun looking through all the Claylicious creations and knew right away that I had to take inspiration from one of the fun plates. I picked this cute Be Happy plate:

You can see that I did a pretty literal take on it using Asha from India:

You still have some time to play along with this week’s Etsy Inspired Challenge – the deadline to link up your creation is tomorrow, February 25th, 2011 at noon Pacific time.

Using minis for tags/Etsy Inspired challenge

Hi all, Chris here! If you stopped by this blog over the weekend you may have noticed that Karen has asked the team to contribute to her blog and/or saw Beth’s awesome creation for the challenge YNS is sponsoring this week!!! If not, you may want to click here so you don’t miss it!

YNS is sponsoring the the fabulous Etsy Inspired challenge. The Etsy inspiration shop for this challenge is Claylicious for functional and decorative pottery.

I just love the minis available at Your Next Stamp!  They are just perfect for tags!! I used this image here on the Claylicious site for my inspiration on my first tag. I used the mini Shopping Fhiona stamp and colored it orange and blue to follow the color scheme. The dp, which is from my scraps, mimics the swirls on the pottery.

Back To School Gift

I really wanted to give my wonderful little niece Catherine a back to school gift so I decided to make a fun little card with a pocket!

I used some of the accessories from the Teacher Fhiona set along with some paper from the super cool Basic Grey Basic White paper pad, the Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper pad and the Grade School paper pad. I got out my handy little sewing machine to adhere the pocket…the first thing I thought of after sewing the pocket on was…Oh, Maylee and Kerri will be so proud of me! Look at my almost straight lines! LOL I then stuffed the pocket with the Girlfriends stamp set so Catherine can make cards for all her new little friends! FUN I just know she is going to love this!

I also added some fun buttons so that when you remove the stamp set the card still looks cool!

Shhh…don’t tell her that it’s in the mail as I want it to be a surprise!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Too Cute!

This week is just flying by!!! I can’t believe that it’s Wednesday evening already! Brandon and I have been enjoying the sunshine but we also stayed in to tidy up the house and this is the photo I captured…

Is there something wrong with my son??? He has a tantrum if I don’t let him vacuum and then instantly grins ear to ear when he finally gets a hold of it! He even throws food on the floor just so we can vacuum it up!!! He really does give me daily giggles which is awesome :o)

I made my Mom her Mother’s Day card the other day and thought I would share it with you. I doubt she’ll see this post unless she blows the inch of dust off her laptop my Dad bought her 2 years ago for Christmas! I keep telling her I’ll teach her how to use it but I think all the technology scares her a bit…although she does enjoy playing bowling on her Nintendo Wii!! She’s so cute! That’s the reason I decided to use Flower Bouquet Fhiona for her card…she is just super adorable and I know she will make my Mom smile.

Have a great few days and I’ll be back soon!

Happy Stamping!
