Easter Sweetness with Ushii

Our April Guest, Ushii Landia is sharing more Easter inspiration with you today. This time around it is a card and it is full of sweetness (and eggs)!

—–

I just love these chickens from Hey Chickie! stamp set and can’t stop using them for my Easter cards every year! This time I mixed them with the basket from Easter Basket stamp set.

At first I planned it to be an interactive card, but when I laid my colored critters on a card base it looked so sweet that I didn’t want to change anything 😀

Easter Eggs by Ushii

Want to try something new this year with your Easter eggs?  Ushii Landia  is back with her second project this month and she continues to get you ready for Easter.

Today I have the easiest and simplest Easter egg decoration for you – just grab your Fun Faces stamp set (and Fun Faces 2 as well) and stamp on hard boiled eggs with hybrid ink! How fun is that??

No need to pull out dye and dip your eggs, the supplies in your craft room will work out perfectly! Although, you could dye the eggs first and then stamp.

One safety note…make sure the ink does not get absorbed by the egg shell and bleed in to your hard boiled egg.

Check out Ushii’s first guest post here and be sure to stop back on Saturday because Ushii has more ideas for Easter!

Easter Treats from Ushii

Today we are welcoming Ushii Landia back as a guest! Her projects are full of whimsy and her signature soft no line coloring technique – swoon worthy, I promise!

Have you created any Easter projects yet? Ushii is ready to inspire you!

I’m Ushii and I’m super excited to be a guest designer for Your Next Stamp!
Who am I? A crafty girl, trying to find a happiness in every moment of life  I live in Poland and I’m an architect. As far as I remember, I’ve always loved to design, create, alter, paint, sew something… Ten years ago I discovered scrapbooking and cardmaking with all the colorful papers, embellishments and cute stamps – and I fell in love! I usually have five ideas at the same time, I love to try new techniques, new things and visit new places … and besides, I love good company, good wine and good books
My favorite tools are Copics, Zig Clean Color markers and watercolors, as I love coloring stamps! But I like funny dies and stencils a lot, too. My projects are usually sweet, colorful and joyful

Today I want to share my sweet chocolate Easter egg treat boxes made from the Mini Popcorn Box Die.

I just masked some parts of paper, using stencils and masking tape, and blended out with pink and yellow inks.

Then I assembled my baskets and added chickens from the Hey Chickie! set (all colored in no-line technique).

And that’s it, I’m going to use them as a table decoration – one basket with chocolate eggs for every guest 🙂

Stop back tomorrow for more Easter inspiration from Ushii.

Christmas Magic with Ushii

Guest Ushii Landia is back with one more creation for the month. This time around she shares how to create a bit of sweet Christmas magic!

The Gingerbread House Die set is perfect for building Christmas houses! Start by cutting out all the dies from white cardstock. Then add a scored strip of cardboard to connect all the pieces in to a 3D shape.

Watercolor some elements in red, pink and light blue, and decorate the house with some clay hearts and a snowflake.

To add some interest color one of the sweet fawns from Santa’s Magical Sleigh stamp set using the no-line technique. I always use a teeny tiny watercolor brush to paint my critters. To make the house even more of a showpiece, create a small cupcake stand. Cut the pieces from cardboard and add a border using the Dripping Goo Die. It gives the appearance of icicles or a gingerbread cake frosting 🙂

A Peek a Boo Invite from Ushii

Guest Ushii Landia has been celebrating and we all benefit! She is back today with more inspiration from her unicorn party!

It’s Ushii and today am sharing a simple peek-a-boo birthday party invitation featuring the Magical Ponies stamp set.

On the front of my cards I stamped the Starburst Background set. Then I cut out a star creating peek-a-boo window. To add some interest I adhered a few embossed stars and made sparkle dots with a clear Gelly Roll Stardust gel pen. The dots are hardly visible in the photos, but they blink and shimmer so beautifully in person!

I did no-line water coloring with the stamp set Magical Ponies. Then added each unicorn to inside the invitations, using 3D squares for dimension.

At the end I added a simple closing band and my invitations were ready to fill in 🙂

Do you remember my interactive carousel card from July? {check it out here} It was for my daughter’s unicorn and carousel horses themed birthday party.

I planned a unicorn cake and wanted cupcakes to match it. So I decorated them with unicorns, ponies and carousel horses!

I used stamps from Magical Ponies, Magical and Magnificent, and Spin and Twirl stamp sets.

Each is colored using the no-line style and adhered to the pink paper straws with tiny 3D squares. Simple, but elegant!

I like cards with rotating backgrounds. You can rotate the whole background on the card I created for you today!

With the stunning Star Ink Splatter stamp it looks almost like a magical starry sky 🙂 I started with inking my background with Distress Oxide inks (Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet and Broken China). Next, I stamped the image with Versafine ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder.

The unicorn from Magical Ponies set (the most beautiful unicorns and ponies ever, imho!) is colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes and attached to an acetate circle. All extra stars are also heat embossed, but with Sticky Embossing Powder and covered with white glitter to add a bit of sparkle 🙂

Thank you for joining me over the past few days!

Today I have a sweet birthday pop-up card for a girl who loves penguins!

I used the penguin stamp from Santa’s Magical Sleigh set and added hand drawn party hats 🙂

Did you notice that some of the penguins are actually mirror images? They are stamped with the kissing technique. It was easy to do with my Misti tool.

The Balloons are from the Insanely Happy stamp set. Next, I prepared my card base – I masked some stars and created the background with Distress Oxide inks and a stencil. After removing all masks I finished blending.

All the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes markers, fussy cut out and glued along with a sentiment and some stars to acetate strips. Then everything was attached to my card base. I prepared a “pocket” for my card too, as it’s fold-able, of course.

Want the chance to win the Spin and Twirl stamp set that Ushii used on her creation on day 1? I love, love, love the cute little deer from the “Oh, Deer!” set! I just had to show you my project with this stamp. It’s a snow globe, but it’s a summer version 🙂

I inked my background with Distress Oxide Spun Sugar ink and a stencil, then I glued all the parts to create a snow globe base. I colored the deer and little birds from Holiday Wreaths set (I think they match perfectly!) with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes Markers (colors: Oatmeal, Pale Rose, Yellow, plus water of course). I finished them with white and black Gelly Roll Pens. I fussy cut my critters out and adhered them to the background with 3D foam squares.

I cut some clouds with the Puffy Cloud die set from paper and vellum, and added them inside, as well as at the front of my snow globe, too. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Oh, Deer! set with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry ink.
It turned out so sweet, don’t you think?

I’m so proud of this card – because these horses are moving up and down in reverse directions at the same time! Yay!

I dreamed about this card, with the cutest carousel horses ever from the Magical and Magnificent set for quite long time, so when I finally got my set, I just had to make this card immediately 🙂 I colored the horses, as well as all parts of the carousel from Spin and Twirl Carousel set with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes (I usually paint with really small brush and a bit of water), then I fussy cut everything out. The middle horse is raised with 3D foam squares.

When you pull the tab, horses are moving like in real carousel, and the sentiment (meaning “Best Wishes”) shows up.
