When I saw the Sea Friends set I thought that these critters look so cute that using them on cards is not enough! I then thought about pendants – hey, this whale would look awesome as a pendant too! So, of course I had to try 🙂

First, I rolled out three colors of polymer clay to achieve an ombre look (to make my whale more magical!). Then I took a black ink and gently pressed to stamp the whale on the clay.

I cut around the whale, freehand, with an exacto knife. It would be even easier to use the Sea Friends Die Set as a guide. Don’t run it through a cutting machine of course, but with your fingers, gently press the die into the clay.

Once cut out, make a little hole with a thin straw and then bake in the oven. When they’ve cooled down I smoothed the edges with sand paper.

As a finishing touch, add dots of paint.

Are you ready to create your own pendant? I know I will be picking up some polymer clay!

Happy Stamping!

What a cute idea. I never know what to do with clay. I’m not artsy. But this is something I can do. Thanks for the idea.
