It’s November 1st and we are welcoming two guests for the month, Vicki and Elle! Please joining me in saying hi and take a look at their adorable projects. From classic to clean and colorful these designers will be inspiring you all month long!
I am so excited to be sharing some creations with you this month as one of YNS’s Guest Designers. I have been involved in the paper crafting industry for over 17 years and have been blessed to be on many design teams.
I don’t have a specific style and enjoy making cards, scrapbooking, mixed media as well as other dabbling in other art forms. I’m from Kingston, Ontario. My son is grown now, but I do have a little furbaby, Sydney the Shi-tzu! By day I facilitate treatment programs for federally sentenced men, so I can truthfully say that I’ve spent the last 25 years in prison! I love YNS’s whimsical images; especially Waddles! I sure hope you enjoy my projects!
Hi everyone! My name is Elle Lindgren and I’m a Canadian currently living in the lovely state of Minnesota in the US. I’ve been happily married to my husband for over 10 years, and I’m a mom of two (a girl and a boy). Every year, I try to make a hand-made gift for friends and family at Christmas time. Four years ago, I decided to make a set of hand-made cards and that sent me down the rabbit hole and into the wonderful card-making hobby I couldn’t imagine my life without. I try to chronicle my card-making adventures through my personal blog Creative Cardsea.
My style tends to be relatively clean-and-simple, with a focus on modern and bright/happy colors. Although I like simplicity, I’m inspired by patterned paper and try to use it on almost every card I create. I’ve been coloring with Copics for a few years now and really enjoy bringing my images to life with blending and texture. I’ve recently jumped into using watercolors, as well.
I first came across Your Next Stamp when I was looking for a train stamp for my Christmas cards. I immediately fell heads-over-heels in love with the adorable designs and whimsical art styles. I got the train stamp and then quickly filled my cart with even more stamps, dies and gumdrops. I’m absolutely thrilled to be a guest designer for November, and I hope I can share some projects that will inspire you.
Stop on by and visit each designer’s blog to see more of their work. It is going to be a great month!
