Summer Fun

Well we finally got some nice hot sun today! YIPPEE! Brandon and I took a walk to visit the duck ducks at the pond while Chris and our neighbour friend decided to dig up the yard so they could lay down some nice new grass! Nothing like a beautiful green lawn and trust me our dandelion infested lawns needed a little TLC!

All this warm sun inspired me to ink up Summer Fun Fhiona and I couldn’t resist pairing her up this adorable TPC Studio dp :o))

I hope you are having nice weather and enjoying your weekend!

Happy Stamping!

YNS Challenge #16 – Cut it out and pop it up!

Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for YNS Challenge #16 – YIPPEE! Maureen is our lovely hostess and she has challenged us to Cut it Out and pop it up with foam boosters! She is the queen of cutting out images and turning them into amazing creations! I constantly tell her how amazed I am at how she can cut such tiny little images so perfectly :o)

Although I do miss the hot Florida sun it was nice to come home and get back to stamping and creating. I decided to make my Brother in Law Mike a birthday card for this challenge using the quirky little Franfou image Marble the Mouse along with the fun Cheese to You! sentiment that comes in the Mixed Bag of Greetings set. The screw brads I used in the corners are a little inside joke so I’m sure my card will cause him to roll on the floor laughing :o) I’ve cut out the cheese and popped it up for this challenge and I also added a little birthday hat just for fun!

I hope you decide to join us for YNS Challenge #16 for a chance to win some YNS bucks! YAY!

Happy Stamping!

We’re back!

We’re back home and we have been welcomed with sun but it’s a little cooler here than in Orlando! We had so much fun with the family in Disney and my parents fully enjoyed their 40th Anniversary celebration!

Brandon just loved the castle show at the Magic Kingdom! He especially loved Donald Duck dancing on the stage so this morning all he has been asking for is the dancing duck! Chris is working quickly at hooking up the video camera to the TV so he can watch the show over and over again!

Just for fun I’ll share a few more vacation pictures with you :o)

Brandon eating ice cream – YUM
Mom and I with our fancy drinks with glowing ice cubes – FUN!
Brandon and I on his first roller coater ride – this was his favorite ride!
Chris, Brandon and I in Downtown Disney at the Christmas store
Brandon hugging the Christmas duck statue – so cute!

We just got back last night so I’ll be back to stamping soon and I’ll be sure to have a fun card to share with you this Wednesday for YNS Challenge #16 – YAY!

Have a great day and happy stamping!!!

We’re here – YAY!!!

Happy Tuesday!

I don’t have any fun cards to share with you today since I had to leave my craft room behind early Sunday morning to hop on an airplane for a fun filled family vacation in Disney World!!! As you may know my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary is in May and they wanted to celebrate in style so they brought us all here for some major fun in the sun.

Brandon was such a little trooper on the airplane and he instantly fell in love with Donald Duck as soon as we stepped foot into the Magic Kingdom! Dreams really do come true here at Disney and seeing all the magic through Brandons eyes is absolutely priceless! We are all having an amazing time so I thought I would share just a few pictures that I have so far…

Brandon all ready to find his flight
Brandon and I in front of the Dumbo Ride
Robin, Isabel and Brandon getting sprayed with water in the splash pad

I’ll be back to crafting up a storm once we return but until then…

Have a magical day!

Another dotty creation

Happy Friday!!!

I just love this Cheers! drink set :o) You can use it for so many different occassions. I thought I woud make a simple yet fun card to share with you today. I’ve even used the spots and dots embossing folder so my card fits right in with Lana’s lovely dotty challenge this week, check out all the dotty details over at the YNS challenge blog.

Before I go I just had to show you my proud little Brandon…Who needs the bread when you can eat a spoonful of peanut butter with messy blueberries!?! ? He tossed the bread aside and started making this lovely mess that he is soooo pround of :o) CUTE!!!

Have a super fabulous weekend!!!

Happy Stamping!

YNS Challenge 15 – Going Dotty!

It’s time for YNS Challenge #15! YIPPEE!!! Our wonderful hostess this week is Lana and she has challenged us to GO DOTTY!!! So get out all your dots and start creating :o)
I’ve used Vacation Don for my challenge card and decided to dedicate this card to my close friend Don who just happened to be somewhat trapped in Europe when the volcano in Iceland erupted. To make a very long story short he ended up traveling all through Europe by car and eventually he was able to fly out of Spain. He ended up in Miami before heading home to Toronto Canada which is perfect for this card because Don loves Miami and his favourite football team is the Miami Dolphins!

Now let me clarify…Vacation Don is actually named after this friend of mine…all my stamps have great personal meaning to me and at first I named this stamp Don because every year we all travel to Miami to see a Miami Dolphins football game and this adorable little character just made me laugh and think of our great friend Don! Click HERE to read Vacation Dons mini biography. If you are new to us here at YNS all the Franfou stamps have names and their own quirky bio.

I’ve added the map of Europe to my card for this particular occasion and I consider the dots on the map as my DOTTY challenge contribution – YAY! Also just in case you are wondering…yes, I drew the road :o) I totally amazed myself and I love the way it turned out.

Welcome home Don!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Happy Stamping!

Happy 40th!

My parents are celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary in May so I couldn’t think of any better stamp than the adorable Fhiona and Fhinn Wedding stamp!

Ruby is the colour for the 40th anniversary but the card just didn’t look right is red so I decided to go pink instead with a little hint of red in Fhiona’s flowers. I could resist adding a little bling {aka crystals} to her tiara and some to her gown as well :o) I attempted to colour the hair the same as my parents and got close except my dad has a little less hair and a lot more grey – lol! I’m sure he’ll have something crazy to say about this since he is well known for his crazy sense of humour :o)

Enjoy your day and I’ll be back on Wednesday with my YNS challenge card – YIPPEE!!!

Happy Stamping!

Just Beacause

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! I’ve been busy making my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary card which I will share later this week :o) In the meantime I thought I would share a card I made with my wonderful hubby in mind. He’s been such a great guy and I know he LOVES this Prince Charming stamp!!!

I hope you have a wonderful day and I’ll be back on Wednesday with my Your Next Stamp Challenge #15 card! YIPPEE!!! You still have time to participate in YNS Challenge #14 so hop on over to the challenge blog and check out our stitching challenge!

Too Cute!

This week is just flying by!!! I can’t believe that it’s Wednesday evening already! Brandon and I have been enjoying the sunshine but we also stayed in to tidy up the house and this is the photo I captured…

Is there something wrong with my son??? He has a tantrum if I don’t let him vacuum and then instantly grins ear to ear when he finally gets a hold of it! He even throws food on the floor just so we can vacuum it up!!! He really does give me daily giggles which is awesome :o)

I made my Mom her Mother’s Day card the other day and thought I would share it with you. I doubt she’ll see this post unless she blows the inch of dust off her laptop my Dad bought her 2 years ago for Christmas! I keep telling her I’ll teach her how to use it but I think all the technology scares her a bit…although she does enjoy playing bowling on her Nintendo Wii!! She’s so cute! That’s the reason I decided to use Flower Bouquet Fhiona for her card…she is just super adorable and I know she will make my Mom smile.

Have a great few days and I’ll be back soon!

Happy Stamping!
