Welcome to YNS New Release Day 2! YIPPEE!!!
When I was thinking about how to introduce New Release Day 2 the first thing that came to mind was…
HONEY, I SHRUNK FHIONA!!!!
Yep, I shrunk Fhiona to make this fabulous new line of Mini Fhiona stamps!!! There are 10 Mini Fhiona’s as well as a Mini Greetings set that comes complete with 21 Mini Greetings and 18 Mini Images to compliment the Mini Fhiona stamps. My sister Robin said to me one day…wouldn’t it be cool to be able to punch Fhiona out for gift tags? It’s obvious that I said YES and got to work with Fhiona right away! I’ve been working on this idea since last December so needless to say I am super excited about this release! These mini’s are perfect for punches and small dies, gift tags as well cards, scrapbooking and much more!!!
Here are the fabulous creations the Starlet Design Team came up with…I love them all!!!! These gals are so talented and I’m grateful for all the hard work and effort they put in to bring us all this eye candy! Thank you Starlets!!!

____ It’s New Release Day 1 today!!! YIPPEE!!!
I’ve dedicated this release today to my loving Mom because she LOVES flowers and in her own adorable mother way she begged me to release a flower set that had flowers with stems.
Let me briefly explain…when I first opened the YNS Store I released Rosemary’s Garden which is named after my mother; this set has different sizes of flower heads along with some other images like leaves and a stem. You can create some really nice designs with all these images but she really wanted a tulip with a stem and tulip leaves all as one stamp so I decided to ask Dale to help me out and she created this stunning flower set called Garden Greetings. This set comes with a tulip, daisy, rose and a lily along with lots of small greetings which are perfect for cards, scrapbooking, gift tags and more. Most impotantly this set has been approved by Mom and she just loves it! YAY
I’m excited to say that all the new release stamps are made with the new YNS purple rubber!!! Take a look…
Here are the amazing creations the YNS Starlet Design Team created with this wonderful flower set. I’m sure my Mom will love them all!

Hi all! I hope you had a fabulous long weekend. We had beautiful sunny days and Brandon had so much fun playing outside with Catherine and Isabel. Check out this adorable pic of him driving Bumpa’s (this is what Brandon calls his Grandpa) toy Cadillac…
Who knew that a 22 month old could reach the gas pedal plus at times he was looking pretty cool driving with this arm hanging out the window! He had a blast!
I’ll be back tomorrow with New Release Day 1 which is dedicated to my Mom.

Hello and Happy Thursday!
I decided to start properly introducing our guest designers by sharing a little bit of info along with a photo. I’ve never done this before and I just adore all of my designers so I thought I should start giving everyone proper intros into the YNS family!!!
Please welcome our April guest designer…Silvia Mabie!!!! YAY!!! Welcome Silvia!!! Here is a lovely photo of Silvia with her children plus a little bit of info in her own words…
My name is Silvia and I was born in Portugal but am now living in Greece on the gorgeous island of Crete with my awesome hubby Andrew and 3 amazing kids David (6), Emelia (4) and Isabella (almost 3). I love anything crafty, especially card and gift making. I started rubber stamping for the sheer awesomness of scrapbooking and how cool it would be to have all those letters and supplies for scrapbooking…”I’m never going to get into makings cards” is what I said! yeahhh, right! I think for me the most awesome part about making cards is the instant gratification of getting a project done…having 3 kids so little it’s a wonder I get anything done!
I don’t think I really have a style, I like to try new things and experiment with new techniques…although simple layouts and a few embelishments are always a fav of mine…I also like the one layer cards…I just think they look cool!
Aside from crafting I love to take pictures, hike, swim, laze around on the beach and run…I like to go running at least 3 times a week…sometimes short runs and sometimes long runs!
Thank you sooo much for having me on as a guest designer this month…I am honored!

——— It’s time for YNS Challenge #13 and it’s my turn to be hostess YIPPEE!!! I decided to challenge you to use PURPLE on your cards :o) I love purple!!! You can use a little purple or lots of purple so pull out all your purple papers, inks and embellies and start creating!
I decided to use Rainy Day Fhiona for my purple card and I was so excited to finally use one of the scallop cards Starlet Angela was so nice to send to me -thank you Angela!!!! I didn’t want to cover the card with dp so I decided to sponge it instead using purple, blue and green ink. I really like how it turned out so I think I’ll be doing that again for sure! You may think the Happy Spring sentiment is from Fhiona’s Little Buddy stamp set but it’s actually smaller and from a new set that will be released next week – YAY!
Be sure to hop on over to the YNS Challenge Blog to join in the fun for your chance to win some YNS bucks to spend on stamps at the YNS store!
I’ll be introducing our April guest designer tomorrow plus I’ll have a sneak peek of the new stamps!

_____________ Hi! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! We didn’t have the warmest weather this weekend so we stayed indoors and discovered a really fun play place for Brandon which was so much FUN!!! We will be visiting the Little Tot Spot again for sure. If you live in the area and have a child under 5 years old you should check it out.
Well I don’t have a card to post today so I thought I would share all the exciting things going on at YNS this week. It’s been busy around here getting ready for ScrapFest and the April New Releases which I am extremely excited about!
I’m the hostess for YNS Challenge #13 which starts this Wednesday so be sure to check that out! You still have time to join in all the fun for YNS Challenge #12 hosted by the wonderful Cabio so hop on over to the YNS Challenge Blog and play along for your chance to win some YNS bucks!
Plus I’ll be showing you some sneak peeks later this week of all the fun new stamps I’m releasing next week – this will be a 3 day super fun release which starts Tuesday April 6 – mark your calendars and tell all your friends because you won’t want to miss this release!
If you missed my last post – YNS is the sponsor for Embellish so be sure to join in the fun for your chance to win some YNS stamps!
I decided that Fhiona’s Pet Bunny would be perfect for this challenge and as you know I’ve grown to love stitching on cards so this was a really fun addition to the challenge. Now before you look too closely at my card I need to confess that I totally messed up! Lucky for me I have a good sense of humour and I’m ok with laughing at my own silly mistakes…can you see where I went wrong?
I used light purple instead of blue!!! DUH!!! Ashley emailed me all the details and I carefully wrote them down and got ready to make my card and for some strange reason I got on this purple, pink and kraft mission and after I finished my card I took a double take and realized I didn’t use light blue – oops! So if you look closely there is a speck of light blue on my Doodle Bug Brad :o) WHEW!
I hope you join in the fun for your chance to win some YNS Stamps!!!

Brandon has been gearing up for his egg hunt with his nieces Catherine and Isabel by hiding blocks in plastic eggs and then going “POP” and opening them. He is so surprised to find a prize when he pops it open even though he’s the one who put it in there – too cute!!!
I’ve used Hoppy Easter Fhiona on my easel card today. Easter is on the way and Fhiona is just too cute in her bunny outfit so I just couldn’t wait to ink this stamp!!! I got my mini sewing machine out once again and I think I did a pretty darn good sewing job although the lady at the store did tell me that if I ever decide to venture into sewing clothes rather than paper that I should buy a larger model…I don’t see that happening anytime soon but have you seen some of Starlet Maylee’s sewing – WOW!!! I wonder what I have to do to get one of those purses! :o) I also decided to stamp a little background starburst from Fhiona’s Happy Birthday stamp set.

Cabio has challenged us to use some form of distressing on our cards for YNS Challenge #12 and this is something I don’t do very often so I thought I would give it another shot and make another card using this technique :o)
I’ve used the stamp Grasshopper Gloria along the adorable sentiment ‘Some buggie loves you!’ from the Mixed Bag of Greetings Set. Yes, I actually ripped the paper – lol not something I usually do but I actually really like the way this card turned out.
Remember that I’ve got a sale going on right now – 15% off stamps at the YNS Store – sale ends this Sunday at midnight.
