Meet Meghan, a Personal Trainer and Run Coach who has a nasty craft habit on her “rest” day and loves all things crafty – especially card making and scrap booking. She says her life has always revolved around creating! Her style is BRIGHT colors, pattern papers, CUTE, and whimsical creations. Although she scrapbooks,  card making  has become her focus this past year as she has really gotten into all the various techniques with cards and coloring. She loves her Copic markers, using Distress inks, die cuts, and stencils. As you can tell from her profile picture, she is  a dog mom to Maddie, the love of her life.

What do you enjoy most about paper crafting? I love getting to give the cards I create and bring a smile to friends and family’s faces

Favorite YNS Stamp set? Ellie Loves Lattes

Favorite paper crafting technique? I love stencils and glitter paste lately

What quirks do you have? I have to have a back up of every food item in my refrigerator/pantry for example if I have a jar of almond butter in my fridge I probably have at least 2-3 backups in my cabinet/

What job would you be terrible at? Anything that involves sitting for more than 15 minutes… so truck driver

What can’t you live without? My Puppy, MADDIE

What’s your claim to fame? I won the Inaugural Illinois Marathon, Kettle Moraine 100K and multiple other ultra races. I also qualified for the half Ironman Championships.

What is your ideal way to spend the weekend? Race a 50 miler on Saturday followed by an ice bath then craft all day on Sunday.

Since I am a Run Coach and Personal Trainer I made a card in my “colorful style” for my post…

Lots of Love with Ushii

Ushii Landia, one of our April guests, is sharing her final card for the month. This one is full of love, featuring Ushii’s signature style! It is also a great example of how to combine stamp sets, as there are critters from 3 different stamp sets on Ushii’s card.

Today I want to show you a card with the cute mouse from the So Mush Fun set. I combined it with a deer from the Oh, Deer! set and birds from the Holiday Wreaths set.

All critters were colored in no-line technique with Zig markers. I blended my background with two Distress Oxide inks and stamped a sentiment in brown from the So Mush Fun set… and my card was ready!

Thank you Ushii for joining us again this month! We always enjoy having you as a guest and your creativity is always inspiring!

We have another amazing guest for you this month. Please welcome Lena Scheimann! We spied some of Lena’s creations on Instagram and wanted to see more.

Scroll on down to learn more about Lena and see her slimline Easter card featuring the All Aboard train stamp set.

Lena Scheimann

Hello, my name is Lena and I live in Bochum, Germany. I am a primary school teacher and fortunately I can realize my passion for crafting there as well. Even as a child, I did a lot of hand crafts and painting, but my love for paper crafting, coloring and card making started just a few years ago.

What I like most are cute and playful designs, which I create with a lot of joy and give to my family and friends. I enjoy using copics and polychromos. I am also practicing coloring with watercolors, because I love the beautiful and soft effect. I can’t believe that I am a guest designer for Your Next Stamp in April and I am very excited to share my creations with you.

The vibrantly colored train is set against a sunny sponged sky.

Easter Sweetness with Ushii

Our April Guest, Ushii Landia is sharing more Easter inspiration with you today. This time around it is a card and it is full of sweetness (and eggs)!

—–

I just love these chickens from Hey Chickie! stamp set and can’t stop using them for my Easter cards every year! This time I mixed them with the basket from Easter Basket stamp set.

At first I planned it to be an interactive card, but when I laid my colored critters on a card base it looked so sweet that I didn’t want to change anything 😀

Easter Eggs by Ushii

Want to try something new this year with your Easter eggs?  Ushii Landia  is back with her second project this month and she continues to get you ready for Easter.

Today I have the easiest and simplest Easter egg decoration for you – just grab your Fun Faces stamp set (and Fun Faces 2 as well) and stamp on hard boiled eggs with hybrid ink! How fun is that??

No need to pull out dye and dip your eggs, the supplies in your craft room will work out perfectly! Although, you could dye the eggs first and then stamp.

One safety note…make sure the ink does not get absorbed by the egg shell and bleed in to your hard boiled egg.

Check out Ushii’s first guest post here and be sure to stop back on Saturday because Ushii has more ideas for Easter!

Easter Treats from Ushii

Today we are welcoming Ushii Landia back as a guest! Her projects are full of whimsy and her signature soft no line coloring technique – swoon worthy, I promise!

Have you created any Easter projects yet? Ushii is ready to inspire you!

I’m Ushii and I’m super excited to be a guest designer for Your Next Stamp!
Who am I? A crafty girl, trying to find a happiness in every moment of life  I live in Poland and I’m an architect. As far as I remember, I’ve always loved to design, create, alter, paint, sew something… Ten years ago I discovered scrapbooking and cardmaking with all the colorful papers, embellishments and cute stamps – and I fell in love! I usually have five ideas at the same time, I love to try new techniques, new things and visit new places … and besides, I love good company, good wine and good books
My favorite tools are Copics, Zig Clean Color markers and watercolors, as I love coloring stamps! But I like funny dies and stencils a lot, too. My projects are usually sweet, colorful and joyful

You can follow me on my Instagram (@ushiilandia), my FB (https://www.facebook.com/ushiilandia/) or meet me at my blog http://ushiilandia.blogspot.com/ (in Polish)

Today I want to share my sweet chocolate Easter egg treat boxes made from the Mini Popcorn Box Die.

I just masked some parts of paper, using stencils and masking tape, and blended out with pink and yellow inks.

Then I assembled my baskets and added chickens from the Hey Chickie! set (all colored in no-line technique).

And that’s it, I’m going to use them as a table decoration – one basket with chocolate eggs for every guest 🙂

Hey Chickie! set

Stop back tomorrow for more Easter inspiration from Ushii.
